Remote & Community Health
Imaging capability delivered through your community health service
We work as a visiting partner to local services, so patients access imaging close to home and the relationship stays with the people who hold it.
- Partnership delivery, not direct-to-patient
- Culturally safe, unrushed appointment planning
- Scheduled circuits through regional and remote Australia
- Reduced patient travel and fewer missed appointments
The problem
Travel is the barrier, not the diagnosis
When the nearest imaging service is hours away, referrals go unfilled, conditions progress and trust in the pathway erodes.
Unfilled referrals
A referral requiring a full day of travel, transport arrangements and time away from family often simply does not get actioned.
Fragmented care
Sending patients to a distant provider breaks continuity with the local team that knows their history.
Unpredictable capacity
Ad hoc visiting arrangements make it impossible for local services to plan clinics with any confidence.
How we solve it
A predictable visiting service your team can plan around
We agree a circuit and hold to it, so your clinicians can book imaging into a clinic day with confidence.

- Digital X-ray, ultrasound and OPG on board the van
- Scheduled recurring visits on an agreed circuit
- Planning with Aboriginal Health Workers and local clinicians
- Flexibility for family or support person attendance
- Reporting aligned to outreach program requirements
- Results returned to the local referring clinician
Working together
How the partnership runs
- Step 1
Enquire

- Step 2
We scope the visit
We design a circuit, frequency and cultural safety plan with your team.
- Step 3
We deliver on-site
We attend your clinic and image alongside your existing clinic day.
- Step 4
Results delivered
Reports return to your clinicians, with program reporting as required.
Common questions
What coordinators ask us first
Do you work directly with patients?
No. We deliver through the local service. Your organisation holds the relationship with the community; we provide the imaging capability behind it.
How do you approach cultural safety?
Visits are planned with your team, including gender-of-clinician preferences, the presence of Aboriginal Health Workers or family, and adequate time so nobody is rushed through an appointment.
Can we operate a van ourselves?
Yes. We can deliver a fitted-out, certified turn-key X-ray van to your service for your own practitioners to operate, or attend on site with our radiographer or sonographer. Both options use the same vehicle standard and the same reporting pathway.
How far will you travel?
Australia wide, including remote communities. Distance is a question of scheduling and volume rather than a hard boundary — tell us your location and we will be direct about what is viable.
Discuss Your Organisation's Imaging Needs
Tell us about your organisation, location and requirements, and our team will be in touch to discuss how Insite Radiology can support you.
